Demon possession Q&A Part III

Luke 11:24-26 “When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it roams through water less places looking for rest, and not finding rest, it then says, ‘I’ll go back to my house where I came from.’ And returning, it finds the house swept and put in order. Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and settle down there. As a result, that man’s last condition is worse than the first.”

What does it mean for an unclean spirit looking for rest?
If you understand how spirit energy is continually expended by being on a constant go, then try to understand that when a demon or demons enter a vessel host of either human or animal origin, their energy is assimilated to the host, and then they are at REST with a feeling of having a home.

What happens when a demon enters a human vessel?
Some demons search for people that will love them for who they are; they also treat those hosts with the love they still possess. In contrast, the possession of those that do not want to be host vessels for demons, they go through a stage of feeling depressed, and become violent as they seek relief from the spirit or spirits that have invaded them.

Jesus Christ delivered a man possessed by a legion of demons?
Mark 5:9 “What is your name?” He (Jesus) asked him. “My name is Legion,” he answered Him, “because we are many.”  Mark 5:15 “They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been demon-possessed by the legion, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.”

A Roman legion could contain 5,000 to 6,000 soldiers. Given the true size of a spirit, which is that of a bee, you can see how it makes perfect sense!

Additional comments:
The casting out of demons from a person possessed, was manifested not only to relieve the human from being plagued from within by spirit forces that are malignant, but also mirrors the casting out of evil forces from the Heavenly Court of Yahweh’s presence. Because no place of safe haven should be found for those Yahweh shows no mercy for profaning Her Sanctuary. The demons are to be wanders on the Earth as they test both flesh and spirits under a mandate given by Yahweh, with no true home in creation. They are to feel the effects of their sinful conduct as though they were dying of thirst in a parched desert setting that they helped to rob of life sustaining waters.
